If you get this error:

Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
at System.Windows.Navigation.PageResourceContentLoader.EndLoad(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
at System.Windows.Navigation.NavigationService.ContentLoader_BeginLoad_Callback(IAsyncResult result)

Things to look for are in the Xaml.
- It could be a style assigned to the wrong target type.

If you get this error, there are at least two possibilities.

1. You have already deleted from source control whatever you are trying to destroy.
Solution:
a. Find the deletion id of the item.
tf properties $/folder/whatever
b. Specify the deletion id in the destroy command.
If the deletion id 3214
tf destroy $/folder/whatever;x3214

2. For whatever reason, tf command is not reaching the server or for some unknown reason that it is hiding, it shows the same message.
Solution:
Specify the name of the server in the command.
tf destroy /server:mytfsserver.example.com $/folder/whatever[;x3214] (deletion id only if deleted.)

For the past few days I noticed that the mouse movement on my Windows 7 (x64) VM was sluggish. I checked if I installed any Microsoft mouse software because that is what I am using. There was none. Since I had previous slowness and errors for Windows 7 virtual machine due to WDDM display driver issues, I tried tweaking a few display settings. That didn’t help either. I checked all VM settings with another VM (Windows XP) that didn’t seem to have any mouse issues. They were pretty much the same.

Then I realized that I have removed USB Controller from hardware on all virtual machines. I added it back and then VMware saved the settings and continued the virtual machine and brief pause. Now my mouse is working as expected.

So, Windows 7 requires USB controller where as Windows XP can work without it and have no problem.

For the past few days I have been seeing a blank page whenever I went to https://www.google.com/adsense. I thought the problem was with Chrome since I use the development or canary builds.

Today I realized that the problem was not with the Chrome but I had enabled Ad Block Plus extension and was active on the site somehow. I thought I had disabled it for the entire Google site. I guess I did not.

So, if you get a blank screen on your adsense page, check java scripts and ad block plus extension first.

I was planning to upgrade to iPhone 4 when I was eligible in February this year. I ended up getting a Windows Phone 7, Samsung Focus. I needed to know a way to give away my old iPhone 3G and now the 3GS. What I mean is, being able to use them in India.

First I had to update the iTunes to the latest version. Without this, limera1n wouldn’t show up after installing.

I used limera1n to unlock. I read in many places that I should not use it if I plan to use other jailbreak software later. I forgot what they were.

There are plenty of web sites that told me how to install limera1n but it was very simple. Downloaded the app, ran it and followed on screen instructions. I could even run it multiple times without causing problems. I don’t know which bootrom image is in my iPhone 3GS.

Once the limera1n app showed up on the iPhone, ran it. There is an option to install Cydia. I used WiFi at the time. Installed Cydia and that is it. So far I have installed only one app. SBSettings. I hid the limera1n, cydia and other apps so that things won’t get messed up when I give the phone away.

Here are some screen shots of the unlocked, jail broken iPhone 3GS. The theme I am using is KillSignCarbonBlue.

Here is how I took screenshots of my iPhone screens. I didn’t know such a simple feature existed.

I have more images of my old 3G and 3GS on Airtel in India, I will try to upload later. Oh and the phantom vibration of iPhone, that is an AT&T phenomenon. No vibration after inserting Airtel SIM.
